O2 sensor can be the simple bosch replacement, but i heard you had to splice it with the stock wires (only 2 i think). NGK for plugs and wires are good...and for the tune up, get some Mother's Back to Black for all of your trim pieces, wow i love that product...hope this helps!!!

02 sensor that bosch carries are one w/ a plug & 1 w/ a 1-wire splice to your original plug...

pepboys sell decent borg warner caps/rotors: just get the "select" versions w/ brass/copper terminal contacts...they last longer & worth the extra $

NGK decent for replacement plugs/wires... so's bosch as well... plus lifetime warranty on wires (changed them 2x for free already: w/ receipt of course)

bosch single platinums <if just daily driving it/stick w/ NGK coppers & replace mo' often if u goin' to abuse your engine>, if u go that route; don't get the fancy designs=heard problems w/ them

seafoam is always a good thing before replacing these items... got a huge thread that's floating around on that stuff...

throttle body/intake cleaner to spray down that TB valve...

others can chime in if u r looking for more stuff...

I bought my plugs from PDM, got the NGK IX iridiums since I'm too bloody lazy to replace them as often as coppers.

Also from PDM I got the aurora ignition wires, but that was when they were a bit cheaper. I've heard very good things about the NGK ignition wires. Just make sure you've got less than 20 ohms of reistance through the wires and they should be fine. OEM is probably the safest way to go but damn they're expensive. Hence my looking at other brands.

Cap and rotor, I got those OEM from courtesynissan. Shipping might be a bit high as they charge 8 bucks base but if you toss in some oil filters and washers it's all good in the end.

o2 sensor I got that at PDM too. Pretty cheap, better than the stuff that's available at my local kragens. It was a bosch for like 21 bucks just gotta cut and crimp (or cut and solder if you're as anal as I am).

Have you changed your air filter? Got a K&N cone filter off of ebay pretty cheap with the adapter.

Changed your fuel filter? Check out the 300zx fuel filter too, I got mine from courtesy parts.

Checked your belts lately? I went OEM on those too.

Vac hoses should also be inspected and replaced if you need to.

Might wanna change your pcv also. I got mine from courtesy parts.

Fuel system cleaner? There's alot of junk out there, but personally I've felt a noticable increase in power with all the cars I have in my family with Greased Lightning. The Zmax stuff didn't do so hot, neither did the techron. The Redline stuff's good too, just a bit pricey. The NOS brand stuff is junk. Don't even bother with that crap. Those are the brands my buddies, family, and I have all tried and we've tried them on different cars and makes. Pretty similar findings throughout.

Clean out your motor with seafoam before doing the tune up. People have said it fouls your plugs and o2 sensor. Personally I've never had that but my motor was clean on the inside when I pulled it after inspection. Might be a different story for you so might wanna play it safe.

Basically I did most of my shopping at two places to cut down on shipping and also I had some other stuff coming from each of them anyway. Just figure what's cheaper for you and get em that way. lol

thanks for all the info guys, i already did the seafoam treatment and not a single puff of black or blue smoke came out so that's good, the reason i'm doing this tune up is because i failed emissions and i'm just trying to replace any thing that would have to do with emissions, so i think i'm just gonna get plugs, wires, cap, rotor, o2 sensor and take it to the emissions center. what else do you think i would need to check/replace for emissions crap besides what i've mentioned?

did you clean the egr, check the cat, check the timing, etc. what part of emissions testing did you fail exactly? what were the numbers?

ya, post some #s; the more experience tekkies can decipher the causes...

pcv valve is soo easy to clean out w/ carb cleaner; it's almost rediculous to go out n buy 1...

belts: aftermarkets arent that bad; heck some of those name brands=OEM or makes it for Nissan/domestics/etc... got Dayco <pepboys> brand & they've held up pretty well, since '96. (Gates look to be the better brand, though)
