I got my car uprevd and dyno tuned, but im just not convinced the tune was the best. The shop has failed to show me any dyno numbers. All I got was the dyno guy telling me "we got an extra 10-15 w the tune" which seems low for an m45. So can i get a retune somewhere else or do i need to go to the same shop due to the uprev "license"? Btw I have an 07 m45 w full megan, custom y and r2c intake.

He should be able to give you an exact number if it was Dyno tuned. Take a look in this thread, though. Datalogging is the way to go IMO.

Thanks for your help. Do you happen to know if i would need to go back to get the license cleared before i can do a datalog?

Yeah, that I don't know about. The way they're talking makes it sound like it, but I'm not 100% on it.

EDIT: To actually do the datalog, I'd bet not. To change anything is where my maybe comes into play.

Professional UPREV tuner

Just sent you an email, but just to clarify a few things for everyone. There are two parts to the uprev tune; the license and the actual tune file that the tuner creates. Once you have the license on your ECU you never have to purchase another one, even if you want to retune 200 times, you only have to pay for the actual tuning labor to create a new tune. This is the same whether you get dyno tuned, street tuned, or etuned with datalogs.

As for that shop just telling you that they made "10-15" more HP and sending you out the door, I would be suspect that they even tuned it or not. I would demand to see the print out. I have NEVER heard of a legitimate shop, let alone an Uprev protuner that dyno tuned a car and did not give the customer the print out...

Ya, that seems suspicious to me too.
