Well it was bound to happen. Tulsa area refiners stopped producing 93 octain gas as of Thursday. A dilivery manager I spoke to said that most 93 will be out of stations tanks by end of monday. 93 was replaced with 91 at most stations although some dropped 9x anything... a sign of what might be ahead?

As would be expected, 91 is selling for the same price 93 was going for. So the big guys keep getting bigger.

I went to three stations checking on avaliablility and was told by counter help at all three that there had already been quite a few pissed customers. They suggested filling out the company comment forms located in the john, where else! It is a stamped mailer. I plan to voice my feelings on the need for quality 93 octain fuel to whoever/whatever this form goes to and you should too.

Be sure to check the box for 'complaint", those show up in red in reports to district people. This is a good chance to maybe make a difference.

A word to the wise, good construcive commets go alot further than chewing them out in colorful language! They will pitch those in a heart beat. Oh, yeah, pass this on to your friends in other performance groups.

Yeah, most of you arent from Tulsa but it will happen to you too if it hasn't already,,, .

Are you in Tulsa? I noticed the QT on twenty first stopped selling 93 awhile back. It pissed me off because I am almost done with my turbo project and I was thinking how lucky we are to have 93 in Tulsa.

I am going to fill out one of those cards at every QT I stop at.

Welcome to the boards btw.

240power is my dad by the way, he drives a 2001 SVT Contour. I guess alot of the people with 240s meet up at Carpet and Tile. I've been up there once and wasn't too impressed. The people seem cool but it was really crowded. One of the guys there was talking about having an RB20Det in his, and talked to me about how they go drifitng. Apparently they open up fire hydrants. For some reason I think I'll just stick with empty industrial park parking lots.

I'll be N/A for another year, so right now I'll just use 91. Hopefully by the time I'm running a T3 this whole "no 93 octane" business will be straightened out.

I'd love to meet up with some guys who are in the area. I know a guy in BA who has like 6 S13 parts cars if anybody needs parts locally.

That's cool, the whole hydrant thing is very on the low. My only concern is I don't want some jackass to slide into my car thinking they know what they're doing. Some people know how to control their drift, some don't. I guess I could head up there this weekend, I haven't been there in awhile.

Maybe SEMA SAN (Sema Action Network) could help you with this issue?

we hav deez gas stayshunz down heer in ayluhbayma call "race trac" (yeh, uh, they be cooler cuz they leev da "k" owt) that sell 5 deefernt OKtanez up to a hunert somethin.

Not too sure what all exact ratings, but I know they go up over a hundred. Only the bigger ones, though... there`s a lot of em on the side of the interstate that sell 91, 89, and half-water.what makes leaded gas so bad, btw? I`ve heard of guys going up to the airports and getting supaa high octane jet fuel from there, but i`ve never asked what makes all the standard engines require non-leaded.
