Tuesday Night GTA 4 Free Roam for 360 Users

Sign up here. I guess we should agree on a time. Since most people around here seem to be on the ****ty coast I suppose we should aim for a later time for them. Is 12AM EST/9PM PST on TUESDAY night (not tonight) good for everyone? Not everyone has a midnight release, so it should be Tuesday so everyone has got it. All the stores around me have a midnight release tonight but I just happened to reserve my copy in the MALL, which obviously wont be doing it.

I forgot to put this in the thread title, but this is for the XBOX 360 only.

The only rule is to NOT discuss the story. Discuss the gameplay all you want.

I was just wondering, do any of you guys know how the online is set up? Can we even set up a "room/party" where we can all be there?

From what I've heard, the free roam mode is like the party room. Before you set up a game type and start the game, you are all in the city doing whatever you please. This is what I've heard, I dont have the game yet. Sounds awesome though.

By the way, is the time I put in the original post good for you?

"No" Sorry I don't have any copies unless you reserved it but you can reserve it for tomorrow when we get another shipment. I had to work early so missed out but it looks like you guys played till real late, my buddy and I were fooling around for hours after work that day and I can say its the most fun I have ever had in a snadbox type game. I would drive and he would shoot the tires out of cars and motorcycles and we would just follow them until they crashed, one guy bailed out of the car after the tires were flaming so much that he caught fire

Alright, question about GTA multiplayer:

Assuming I set up a custom game with Private slots set to Max...Is there a way for my friends to join WITHOUT me sending them invites.Or the other way around...if my friend has a private-only game going, can I just join, or does he/she need to invite me?

As far as I can tell, you HAVE to be invited to a private game. Seems like R* needs to integrate an intermediary step. As it is, anyone can join, or no one can join (unless invited specifically). Where's the "only friends can join" option?

I've never seen a game that operates like that MoD. Either everyone can join or just the people that you invite can join. Or you can add a certain amount of private spots so you can get some of your friends in yet allow the public to play. But I've never played a game that will let people (even friends) join a private game without an invite.

They need to fix that. No reason you should have to spend all the time and effort inviting individually when you're looking for a game with friends.
