Ok I know it did not spell it right! I got one gallon of tueline for 6 bucks and I would like to know how many parts tueline to 14 gallons of 93 unleaded to make around 105 octane?

Has anyone used this before?

I hope you have a big tank. You'll need 18.67 gallons of toluene added to 14 gallons of 93 to get a 105 octane mix. I've used toluene, but never above maybe 95-98 octane mixed.

You would have 94.3 octane.

Tolune had 114 octane. Here's the formula for calculating you final octane:

(93*x + 114*y) / (x+y) = F

x is number of gallons of 93 octaney is number of gallons of toluene (114 octane)F is final octane of mixture

If you make a 1:1 mix, you would have 103.5 octante...the average of 93 and 114.

This is all numbers work...the reality is that most people don't recommend going above 30% toluene. I think you risk damaging the fuel system and/or sensors. 30% toluene gives 99.3 octane.

Use Xylene if you can find it, it's 119. It's di-methylbenzene instead of just methylbenzene, which is what Toluene is. 30% is acceptable with Xylene also and you will see an extra point or 2. Also make sure to add some lubricant, marvels mystery oil has been suggested alot, and i've heard transmission lube can also be used. You need lubricant because the 2 chemicals both remove any lubrative qualities from the pump gas and your rubber parts in the fuel system will dry/crack/leak over time, but one use will probably do no damage. Bought per gallon it can be fairly expensive...$8-12 a gallon...but bought in a 55 gallon drum it can be $2.50/gal, and thats what most peopel do that HAVE to use it all the time I.E. high boost and/or high compression. There have been a few discussions on this, one recently that I brought up when I was looking into it. Search and check that out if you want to.

P.S. Just to let you know, a friends co worker made a 1:1 mix with Toluene in his beater muscle car, said it felt like a "rocket", but he also burnt the heads of his pistons and blew a hole in the exhaust piping or the muffler, I don't remember which.

1:1 is not generally a good idea.

Ok so you guys see my setup. I want to go to the track soon and I want a little over 100 octane How should I mix in terms of gallons to gallons? Or should I just pay 6.50 per gallon for sanoco gas thats 107?

I dont know how far you want/need/have to drive to get to this track, but you are going to have to give it a good 20 (I THINK) miles to get the fuel out of the lines and the new stuff flowing, if you can pick up Toluene for $6/gal then I would say mix 2gal Toluene with about 4.5gallons of 91(premium in AZ) you will get 98 number wise, but when mixed, both Toluene and Xylene do decrease in there octane rating abilities (meaning alone they have the 114 and 119, but when mixed, it is lower) so with that mixture you are probably looking at 96 or 97. I would pay for 2 gallons of 91, 2 gallons of 107, and 1 gallon of Toluene, giving you about 100-102. If premium is 93 there then about 1 point higher in the end. or just buy 3 gallons of 107, and add one gallon of Toluene giving you 108-109. But honestly getting you tank to almost bone dry will be hard unless you let it run out in front of the pump...so the gas will probably be watered down a little from whatever was in there before...
