I would like the TT ppl out there to review my plan here and give me the low down on what problems I will see and compare their notes to what I have heard about each part of the conversion as I listed them seperately to get more response and inspire experts on each issue to respond. How I plan to route my coolant lines:Use the connections to the throttle bodies and re-route those to the turbosI've heard this works beautifully as the lines there only heat the TBs.How I plan to do oil lines:I heard there are oil galleries on the block, which I can't locate for one, and I rather not tap into risking oil problems on the block. I don't know if the TT naturally uses these galleries for oil supply for the turbos or not, anyone know if this is the best way?
My plan was opening the extra extension on the oil filter tree and spilliting that to supply oil to the turbos as most N/A to turbo people do with sandwich plates and such. It is way easier than messing with the block, but will lower pressure a tad due to length of travel in the lines. I saw the oil tree has extra places besides the oil cooler extension which would allow this, but anyone know why they are there to start with? I'm waiting for the tree to arrive, the bolt on the end of the tree is not welded I hope so forgive me if I have described the tree inaccurately....
The oil lines they return to the TT oil pan like a stock TT through the same ducts as any TT has. I see the oil pan for the tt has the turbo outlet ducts to return oil and one smaller duct, what is it for? oil cooler flow from the oil filter tree??
The oil cooler, does the flow from oil filter tree ->> to cooler ->> to pan?or something like oil filter tree ->> to cooler ->> back to tree?Would both work?
I would like any WARNINGS, compliments, or suggestions to guide me one way or the other on anything I mentioned.
