what needs to be done to make it work as far as clearancing the inside of the bell housing? pictures ? i am doing a custom engine swap with a VH45 in a pathfinder with a 300 zx bell housing bolted to my pathy transmission. i have an na bel housing and i was sold a TT clutch assembly with and almost new EXEDY clutch so i figure i would make it work. just looking for some tech help.
thanks

assuming you have the TT flywheel and the z axis is correct you simply need the starter shim to allow the n/a starter to clear the TT flywheel, might need minor clearancing ont he inside of the bellhousing especially if you have shimmed the z axis which also means you'll need to relocate the starter or come up wiht a different starter solution

and be sure you get the x and y axis correct, too much trun out can take both the engine and the trans

i know i have the na bell housing, andi know i have the TT clutch assembly, and i bought the starter with the clutch assembly an i m not sure if it is the na starter or the tt starter, or if they are even different.
i also hate to admit it but i am unaware about the z axis stuff, if you can explain that so i understand what you mean...
i thought the flywheel and the clutch assembly just gets bolted to the crank, and everything sits flush and lines up...
i guess its more involved.

nothing just bolt up to a VH, thats one of the reasons they aren't more popular, that and they are overengineered and have little to no aftermarket support

the TT flywheel will botl onto the crank ...I believe, but you have to accomodate for the added thickness of the trans adapter plate or your input shaft will have no support and things break, this means you need a spacer for the flywheel and pilot bearing as well

Z axis, as opposed to X axis and y axis....x and y are up and down left and right, z is in and out

Use a spacer between the clutch fork and the throwout bearing. Push the bearing apart and buy a 1/4" steel ring to slide onto the shaft, then push the bearing back together. It isn't ideal, but it definitely works. That's what most of us do.

cool sounds good, what is the purpose of doing that tho> sorry i just like to know why instead of just doing what im told, and so it makes sense to me as well.

my guess would be that it increases the leverage to push the clutch in instead of trying to do a clutch booster like the Z32 tts have?

Your adapter plate makes the throwout bearing too far away to fully engage the clutch.
