TT Automatic transmission shifts?

My TT with automatic transmission is shifting around 7,000 rpms or later..sometimes it hesitates and wont shift at full throttle..i have to let off and then punch it again..any ideas?

are the USDM transmission's like the JDM ones, where you can switch it between, power, normal, and hold modes?

if there has been no recent changes like a remapped ecu then you might need a rebuild, sounds liek the modulator is sticking or not working and I don't think it's adjustable on the z32

and I assume you already checked the fluid?

(car warmed up, shifted through all the gears, then place the car in neutral and pull the e-brake then check fluid while on flat surface)

check the fluid with the car running or off? and after i run through all the gears..what am i looking for? low fluid level? thanks
