I own a NA 300zx Auto. My auto has gone and I have got my hands on a TT auto. Can someone help me as to what I will nedd for this swap to work? I have the TT auto gearbox and a driveshaft. Will I need a Diff, Computer? Any wiring? Or will this bolt straight up and be a better box than the NA auto? I heard I might need a new speed sensor also. Or would I be better to get a V* conversion engine that the TTauto would bolt straight up to? Any help is very much appreciated on all the question

Steve

Speed sensor will be the only thing on the actual transmission that will need to be swapped. I believe the TCU's are the same between the TT and N/A. Driveshaft, I will need to look into. I'm actually attempting to perform this swap myself pretty soon, as I think my TT has a shift kit in it. I'll keep this thread updated as I find out more info.

Anyone else with any info, feel free to contribute!

The TT RE4R03a is the big brother to the NA RE4R01A// all wiring will work interchange, TCU interchanges, driveshaft interchanges.

The RE4R03A can be built to hold 700rwhp with no problem and the RE4R01A upto 600rwhp..anything to increase the pressure on the frictions will help it.. Oh, the stock transmission really sucks,, need to upgrade it,, just about anything beats it .. The key to a Long Life for your transmission is
keeping the fluid cool and if it's any color other than pink or red it's time to change...

Glenn, you are the man!

Looks like the 2+2 is getting the TT's old Auto once the TT's transmission swap is done!
