Don't know if any of you are interested or care, ;) , but there is a TSB out on the coupe's muffler. I took my car in this a.m. and just mentioned to the service writer that my exhaust rattles. He said there was a TSB on the muffler and they would replace it. Doesn't really bother me, but if I can get a new one for free...I'm gonna do it! :yesnod

At the first traffic light I stopped, I had to adjust the stereo. Somebody had the treble all the way up, the bass in the center and the fade in the center. I had it fixed right and was rocking out in no time. :woot:

If you can find out, might want to mention the years the TSB refers to.

The TSB has been out for a few months now actually. Its for all 2008 G37 coupes, and 2009 models built in late 2008.
There's a new muffler design for it. Car sounds the same though.

I had mine done well over a year ago. It stills sounds the same so I can't really figure out what the point was.

Well OVER a year ago? You probably got the muffler replaced with one Identical. See, the original part number is 20100-JL01A.
It has been updated to a JL01B. After that, a JL01C as of June 2009. So if it was done before june 2009, it most likely wasn't replaced with the newest muffler. Ask your dealer if you got the newest one.

They replaced it so it must have been bad. I really didn't notice a rattle when driving the car it was the first 45 seconds when cold that is really obnoxiously loud. I thought that was what I was getting fixed. Not so, sounds the same.

Only time I noticed mine was when I was standing behind the car with it running. I never heard it while I was inside the vehicle. Like a said, it never really bothered me...its just not the kind of sounds you would expect from a car this nice.

I don't think so babe, but I didn't ask. He did specifically say "coupe".

sedans dont have any muffler issues. the thing with the coupe was the muffler manufacturer didn't do a spiffy good job with inside welds...
