Well all i know it's a december 1998 headunit witch prolly means it was in a 1999 nissan.
Heres extact pictures of it and its harness....
Ive looked online every where and i cant find any thing matching with the color codes....
Any help please?!?!?
Also the label that tells you the info about the unit is worn out but the last 4 of the model number is " 5A79 " The a could be a 4 though.

Well i got it wired up .....
On my car witch came with a aftermarket harness when i bought it ( 1987 nissan maxima )
It doesnt have a BACKUP And ACC and Illumi control.
As stated on that 1998 Infinity bose hu diagram.
It has the wires labed on the cars harness
ground , Illumination , Constant 12v , And switched 12v...
I have the illumintation hooked up to illumination but without illumination control hooked up to any thing the ring and butttons dont glow...
so i took some wire spliced it to the illumnation control and spliced the other end to the positive cig lighter wire.
then took the acc on the infinity hu , And spliced it to the constant 12v wire .
Then took the infinity backup and spliced it to the 12v ignition / switched wire on the cars harness.
And my ignition fuse keeps on blowing...
ive also tried it the other way around
Acc hooked up to the 12v switched/ignition
And
backup hooked up to the 12v constant
I had to have the car towed because the fuse kept on blowing... and nothing you need the key to be to the on pos worked ( fuel pump , Windows and such.. )
Also before the fuse kept on blowing all the lights on the headunit would only come on when i had the day time running lights/ headlights off .
And when iturned the headlights on the hu illumination would turn off but the radio would still play...
Any ideas how to have it hooked up?
