Trying to revive my 240

To make a long story short, my `95 s14 has been sitting for about a year and a half. 6-8 months of that with no battery in it.

Bought a new batt. for it and AMAZINGLY, she fired right up!!! I couldn't believe it! When I stopped driving her I was having an overheating issue.(I believe it's a blown head gasket.) I digress...

What I don't understand is, that while the engine runs, and the headlights work, that's about it. The backlight for the gauge clock works but no clock. The A/C button indicators light up but the blower motor isn't on.The pwr windows and doors don't work.The radio acts like it has no pwr.The TAILLIGHTS don't work.But worst of all, the only gauge that works is for the fuel. (still impressed the motor started on gas that old!)

I want to drive it about 50miles to my buddy's shop but with no tail lights and no way of knowing if it's over-heating, I shant risk it.

Checked almost all the fuses (ran out of daylight without a working flashlight) they all checked out. Would it have anything to do with the computer?

Please help. Tried to tow it on a trailer, but my hitch supposedly won't hold the weight. Plus it's lower via Eibach pro-kit so i doubt it would be easy to get on the trailer anyway.

I have basically the same problem. fuses all check outturning signals don't work, headlights, wipers, windows.

My headlight harness was cut out of the car by the previous owner before I got it . So that solves that problem. everything else? I'm stumped.

Check your connections, make sure all your harnesses are connected. make sure rats or anything havent chewed through the wires. Check that you're getting voltage at your window motor (I need to try that too). Someone somewhere got a window motor directly hooked up to the battery and it worked.

OH and it might just be those fuses you didn't check.

You can use some methods to check for a blown head gasket..

Open your radiator cap and start the car, then turn it off..

Does liquid SHOOT out of the hole?

Next up, is there OIL in the radiator?

For the over heating... good chance the thermastat is shot from sitting for so long.
