Could someone let me know how many bolts/studs/nuts hold on this manifold. I have been making lightning speed progress all day, now It all comes to a screeching halt as the manifold will NOT come off the head, even though there are no visible fastners. !!

Thanks a bunh, look for many many questions in the future just picked up the car

Thanks

Luke

I counted 5 connecting head 2 intake. Take the head off before taking the manifold off, Iam rebuilding my SOHC KA, its fun!!! Almost done with the top end. There are also 2 bolts that hold the intake manifold to a bracket, make sure to get them!!

your question may be better answered in the technical section of the 240sx pages. there is a wealth of information there.

wait wait wait, i just figured it out...

the 2 that i said were under are actually really long, the bolts are located directly underneath the bolts that hold the bracket for the fuel rail, also underneath the 3 metal vacuum lines

you can get to them, if you hold the fuel rail up, using a 12mm wrench, however you will not be able to slide them all the way out because they will hit the ECCS box

also you can unbolt the ECCS box to get at them with a rachet

i guess that is why the FSM says to unbolt the intake pleneum (ECCS box)

by the way, you inadvertantly helped me out too
