trying to make homade intake

well i was wandering if the hoses atached to the intake pipe have to be thar or can i just put a filter on them

which intake hoses? the AIV? get some pics up ... can't help without more information!

hey man, check out my custom intake, there are 2 vaccum hoses you have to have hooked up to make it work/idle correctly. I figured it out the hard way... anyways, here you go.

sorry about lack of imfo i kindof ment all the hoses atached to the intake pipe as in can i run a strate pipe to the maf and the stick filters on all the hoses that are conected to the intae pipe oh and wich would be beter 2 1/2 in or 3in pipe

Yes, you can run a straight pipe and just plug the lines with those small filters. And with regards to which pipe is bigger, there are arguments that there isn't a difference, that you can only get a certain amount of air in, either one works. Slow down and think about what you're going to ask before you do!
