Hey everybody! I've been trying to help out my friend at DOmino's as she's been looking for black velvet material to do her interior with (her car's got kinda a goth thing going on). Been looking online but haven't found anything from those interior sellers for actual velvet material. Regular velvet wouldn't be thick enough, would it? Ugggh.... Anyone know anyplace?

A Joanne Fabirc or Micheals or other craft store would likely have the kinda fabric your looking for. If not you she could stich the velvet to an underlayer to make it a bit thicker.

She needs a velour... Or crushed velour, or whatever floats her boat. Velvet is too thin, and as stated most places dealing with upholstery will stock this or know where to find this.

I don't think real velvet will hold up to the kind of abuse that auto-upholstery is subjected to. The materials used on car seats is extremely durable (at least on better cars), a lot more so than velvet anyway.

Come to any upholstery shop here in Phoenix...

We have a large Hispanic population here, and crushed velvet is very popular here.

Perhaps there's a similar shop in WA?

Yeah, turns out to be my other coworker knew a place in tacoma, so he's going there for her. Said that he could even get that black velvet with the flames on it to match her interior accesories
