Trying to install unique and different SR CAS....

I already try searching and found a few sites/posts with instructions on setting SR CAS's. Well, this is an SR20de distributor/CAS. It has the double yellow painted markings (notch and dot). How is the setup for installation performed??

Is the yellow dot pre aligned with the non painted notch during 'stabbing" and then let the dot meet the yellow painted notch when it fully seated....??
I tried this and it works but the non painted notch does not stay in top, is slightly off towards the front of the engine...is this ok..?
Cams are aligned to FSM standards....
