I have two hid's for the low beams and two hid's for the fog lights. i was trying to put them in today and do not know why they won't work. first i took off the wheel and removed the bulb and just plugged it in the harness from my stock bulbs (plugged the hid bulbs to the ballast inside because it is so cold outside) and they would not turn on (waited a min). i tried with another hid set and it did not work. but when i put in the ome bulb it turned on. i did not disconnect the battery because i was in a hurry, could that be the problem? (also tried plugging them into the fog light but they did not turn on. here are pic's here are the hid's before i connected them

here are the hid's after i connected them to the ballast here are the hid's connected to the harness with the lights switched on and here is the ome bulb to show that the power is working these hid's are the DDM 35 Watt Slim Ballast HID Kit (http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html) and i do have lifetime warranty on them but wanted to know if i was doing something wrong when installing them.

Are you sure you ordered the right kit, I have the H11 DDM kit for my fogs, and I believe they look different. But you do have the wiring all wrong.

The OEM harness connects directly into the ballast then the two mini plugs that connect the bulb to the ballast.

I put a ddm kit into a friends RSX and that kit looks like its for an H1 kit and not the H11 kit.

yea i thought that the power goes to the ballast too but it was not fitting as good as that other connection. i will try again to connect the power to the ballast. and i just checked my order form and indeed it says that i ordered H11 (they could have mixed up the parts.) if it will help i can take close up pictures of the connectors.

yes I would double check, I have the DDM tuning kit for my fogs, and its oem connector directly to the ballast, and then ballast to the bulb. That being said I do not have the extra wire with the bulb harness that you have. I have only seen that on a H1 kit for an RSX. Someone might of accidentally misread or sent you the wrong kit.

someone needs to contact DDM and tell them to stop switching the wires, i think this is like atleast 4 ppl i know of, includig myself that have had this problem.

Dude.. i got your fix. your 3rd pic shows it, the wires aren't wired up properly. in the pic where you have the ballast plugged into the oem harness, the red wires should line up with each other but you can see that they are crossed. you need to take the wires out of the plug from the ballast and switch them.

Inside the plug, there is a locking mechanism on each metal connector, use a thin screwdriver, or a pin and pry it away from the connector and the wire will easily pull out. do that with both wires and switch em. after that, plug em in and enjoy the blinding light that is HID!

if it's unclear then check out this link:http://www.acceleronics.com/HID/IfBackwards.htm

oh, or you can just file off the little nub that blocks the plug from going in only one way, then jam it in backwards, people have done that too. file this off:

How is this product? Besides the above mentioned wiring problems. It seems cheaper than most others.

Does anyone have any other good deals for HID's, I really want to get some.

Thanks

I have them for my fogs, and they are just awesome although the 5000K are way more bluish that I thought.

No problems so far other than the switched wires. they say they have a lifetime warranty, though i've never had any issues with them before, someone said they went to their store and they looked kinda shady..

Don't worry about the angle you mount your ballast. Just as long as it's tightly fastened or taped so it doesn't move around.

yeah mine aren't on very well either, i just used the double sided tape pad they gave and 2 zap straps on each ballast to a place that's probably not the best spot for them. i'm going to put them in a better spot when the weather gets nicer and i take off my bumper to do it. when i installed them i went through the wheel well so it's hard to find a good spot in there.
