trying to get the car to run good without a tune

im bout to order a wideband, but right now i wanna make sure everythings good, fuel pressure and stuff, im running about 13-14lbs of boost, whats a good fuel pressure for that, also i want to upgrade the plugs, i have ngks, but i dont like em caz i have little cut outs like real small at wot, so im trying to get it to run better, any ideas? thanks alot

If you're on a stock turbo, you should not be running 13-14 psi. You shouldn't be increasing the fuel pressure at all even if you do have an adjustable FPR. Fuel pressure rises 1:1 with boost pressure. So 43 psi base + 13 to14 psi boost = 56-57 psi boys and girls!

ngk bcpr6es.only plug you need.period.

you need to set base pressure to 43psi and check for vaccum leaks...i have never seen a properly installed 20 have issues with stock setup.

carl what do you think the cutting out could be? also, what should i gap my plugs at?, im trying to get as much hp as i can with the setup i have now..

Is it possible your spark plug gap is wrong? Either way if you never replaced them its a good idea. Just make sure they are gapped correctly when you go to install them.

i want your tailights, whats a good place to get em from?, also what would be a good gap? i think there .025 now

lol I got them at the dealership less then $400, but i work there. That gap seems low, I could be wrong im not sure what the spec is. But if i had to guess id say .035-.040.

stock is .08mm which is .032" I'm currently running .027" and am going to drop my gap down a bit more cause i'm blowing out spark and NGK3330s ftmfw

have you even checked base timing, you can get bucking from improperly set base timing.

how do you check for vacuum leaks? and what would be a good gap? im gonna get all new plugs tommorowand how do i check the timing, with a timing light?
