I'm sorry for the newbie question, but I can't find the freggin offset calculator...

I've got my new wheels narrowed down to the Enkei RPM2's http://www.enkei.com/highperformance/rpm2.htmor the RS6's http://www.enkei.com/performance/rs6.htm

I have stock 4 lug hubs and Tein coilovers...

The RPM2's have a 45 offset, and the RS6's have a 38 offset in the 4X100 bolt pattern...

Which one would fit better for a flush look?

Also, I've read that 235's are too wide for the fronts...is that so? I'm a simple guy, so I'd like to get the same width all around...

Thats hard for other people to answer without knowing what width wheels you are looking for.

and when you say 235 im assuming you are talking about a tire width... the width of a tire also depends on the width of the wheel.

The rpm2 is lighter, but that 45 offset isnt very friendly... and those are really expensive man!

Well the 45 offset is going to put the wheel closer to your springs where the 38 offset is going to allow the wheel to be out a bit wider for the flush look. Of course the 45 will have the wheel extend out a bit as will the 38 extend in a bit more too, but i would say the lower offset is ideal.

235's are too wide for a 7" wide wheel IMHO.

225 is about the widest you want to run on a 7" wheel.

check out the FAQ, it will help you tons :) Im in a pissy mood so I'll leave it at that, instead of being condescending like normal :D

maybe tommorow I'll be in a better mood (I spent 12 hours working in my shop today, arguing with an m3 owner over propper tires for his car....*******.....*shrug*)-chet

You know the joke about bimmers right? If not, here goes:

What's the difference between a porcupine and a bmw?

With a porcupine, the pricks on the outside.:D

Now, before any bmw people that might be lurcking these boards want's to flame, relax. It's a joke. I have lot's of friends w/ bmw's. I'm actually good friends w/ a couple...one of which runs the web page, bimmerforums.com. He actually told me the joke.

he came in again today to argue with me more.....wants to put 235-40-17 tires all the way around, which is too short and too wide for the front, and WAY too short and too small for the rear...
