I admit... I am genuinely obsessed.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Why is everyone so obsessed with wheel fitment?
They don't have to be sticking out and tucked with camber to look nice.
those don't look that bad, and helps to hhave a visual, i have an s13 with 4 lug. 5 lug conversion and some spacers and not spending a buttload on wheels helps. if new this setup would've been $860 and about $450-500 for the tires. Saving well over a grand helps for the next thing and that's coilovers.s13 iDRIFT wrote:my friend has those one his s14, ill see if i can get a pic up. hope he wont mind if i post a pic, but here it is.
hope it helps on what they look like on the s14.
Because it shows attention to detail. Its one of those indicators that tell how much a guy really knows about his car.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Why is everyone so obsessed with wheel fitment?
indeed.....simmode1 wrote:

I agree to a point. but when you have to widebody fenders, and other shannigans to even tease your car into running the set of wheels..........simmode1 wrote:

I agree with you, Gabby. I instantly lose respect for a car if it's running a widebody kit covering wheels/tires that I could have fit under stock fenders.ca18detgabby wrote:

what does that say?
not really diggin those steelies for my daily. so like $300 for a 5 lug swap, around $1100 for coilovers, and only $50 for wheels. Not only that, I'm buying another coupe for track purposes and i want a slick 240 for a DD/cruiser.ca18detgabby wrote:btw, 300 bucks for a 5lug swap............. or
I got these for 250 shipped brand new off the shelf.
swapping to 5 lug, other than for BB purposes(and even then) seems like an extra unnessacary expense for vanity purposes.....
Ps if you choose to sell the TSWs, lmk I will take them off your hands for my g
yeah i fought with that for a while. if i wanted a smooth slick ride, or a balls to the wall track car. so i'm getting another car, started working a buttload of hours to cover the car expensesAZ89two4Tsx wrote:Function over form.
"Flush" is only nice to me if it's a show car. You can't be baller and be the best on the track.
Race inspired TECHNOLOGOY? Wow. What an awesome company. If their wheels are as good as their ads, I'd be fearful for my life running those.simmode1 wrote:I like these one's better...

Precisely. I'm going 5 lug because there aren't many 4 lug wheels that fit my tastes and budget. It's all about aesthetics.ca18detgabby wrote:

There's 2 forms of 'Flush', IMO. There's when the lip of the wheel is flush with your fenders, usually requiring stretched tires and low offset wheels. and then there's 'Tire Flush', when you've got meaty rubber fitting square or oversquare on wide wheels and the meaty tires run flush with the fenders. Most track cars that I see, go the 'Tire Flush' route. The wider track/contact patch is advantageous for handling.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Function over form.

I fought with the "Form vesus Function" debate for a while too. Then I realized that setting competitive track times is unrealistic for me in this stage in life. I'd rather have a car that is decent or okay at the track, but smokin hot on the street. I think it's good to be realistic and know your limitations.SirSilvia wrote:yeah i fought with that for a while. if i wanted a smooth slick ride, or a balls to the wall track car. so i'm getting another car, started working a buttload of hours to cover the car expenses
Yeah... about as fearful as running Rota's I suppose. If the Mustang crowd beats on those wheels regularly, I wouldn't worry about anything that a 240 is gonna throw at them...captainfalco wrote:

doesnt the mustang have to hold together long enough to actually thrash them to really be able to tell you anything?simmode1 wrote:Yeah... about as fearful as running Rota's I suppose.
