trying to find new exhaust canister that isnt raspy

previous owner put on a full 3 inch exhaust and sounds great until you get on it. at 4-5k it sounds like a fart can. i want to find something that doesnt get raspy at all. just want a nice tone all the way through. and i will cut off the old canister and replace it with the new one.

any suggestions or experiences would be great.

you can add resonators it makes the sound deeper,or you can get the magnaflow.

A dual out will sound deeper that a single out, that's all you really need to remember.

Since dual looks pretty stock, cops won't mess with you to much.

hate to steal your thread but has anyone tried flowmaster? i guess it would be similar to the magnaflow but not sure.

hey its cool no worries. i really wanna hear what people gotta say about what sounds good cus i know most people especially here would probably get embarrassed with a s***ty exhaust tone i have in my upper rpm at WOT

BC stage 3 cams...supertech 10.5:1 pistons..duel springs retainers...manly H beem rods...3" all the way back= 5k rpm bliss....at idle im down rite soundin like a big truck..at 5k..i cant even hear my radio!...and it dosent sound like a fart can..sounds like big american muscle..deep and heart pounding..and it a cheep ebay s*** from header back...

Yeah, pretty much anything that has passages for the air to go through and isn't just a straight through chamber will give you a smoother sound.

I have an HKS Hi-Power 80mm cat back it sounds good on the KA i had the resonator removed after i tore a hole in at exxon after hitting one of the man hole covers those damn dirty holes!!!

yeah dirty holes suck a**. were you the one who ripped off his whole back bumper and had the air bags deployed or was that someone else?

any way yeah im just leaving my silencer in for now till i get me coilovers and an lsd then ill finish the exhaust off. plus having the silencer gives me better mpg and i have less of a tendency to do stupid s***. ha ha
