So a friend of mine is trying to convince me to paint all of the bumpers on my 96 SE, but i remeber seeing a picture or a link to early year R50 that was like a 1998.5 or something like that, but EVERYTHING was red and i want to use that to show him how stupid it would look, does anyone remember where that old thread is?

thanks

Considering that newer R50s have color-matched bumpers and fender flares, I don't think most people would agree that it looks stupid :) Personally, I like the black bumpers and flares, but they do make the truck look a little dated. Also, I think the red in that post looks awesome:) Maybe more appropriate for a sports car, but nonetheless..

I painted my bumpers & fender flares black on my post-facelift R50 and I much prefer it to the color-matched all around. See my thread about it if you missed it the first time around.

Yeah, its fine on the new face lifted stuff, but the older gens, it just doesn't work, IMHO

But im going to Photoshop something together to see how it would look.
