im getting ready to do a automatic transmission 'flush' on my 2001 QX4.

I cant confirm in the FSM diagrams which are input / output lines from the transmission that enter the radiator . my plan is to disconnect only the OUTPUT line of the A/T fluid cooler where to goes BACK to the transmission and to drain the old stuff there.

can someone confirm to me that ive identified the right hose to disconnect . here is a picture of the front underside of the car with the splash guard removed.

Not exactly your question, but I'll chime in anyway.

Many, including myself, do not think a flush is a good idea. Just do a fluid change. Pull the plug, drain what comes out and fill it back up. If you really want to do it right, pull the pan, wear a bunch of ATF in doing so, change the filter, install the pan and refill it.

Changing the fluid is good, but really, that's all you need to do. Save yourself time, money and remotely a transmission and just pull the plug, no more.

YMMV.

Late reply, but the line on the driver's side is the output; passenger side is input. I confirmed this when adding a transmission cooler by connecting them with a clear vinyl tube and recording the flow.
