Here are a few pics of the 240sx project i'm trying to pick up. I was seeing if you guys could tell me if it's worth it for 1,000 i think it is seeing how I'm planning on rebuilding from ground up. Also if there are any people from the dallas area can maybe point me in the direction of a excellent body shop i can take her to so i can have a kit put on and color changed to daytona blue. Also i need to know if there is anything i need to look out for with 240's i'm coming from the honda world so most of my knowledge is centered around that world. I would like to know which parts from other nissans are can interchangeable with each other. I plan on rebuilding the motor as long as it's a ka24de and getting it ready for boost. I'm only looking to get about 350 wheel hp out of it. so a round estimate would be great for what you guys think i should pay to have it rebuilt.

Thanks in advanced

I would definitely try to talk him down. My opinion, its not worth $1,000.

Not to be rude, but that thing is not worth 1000. I purchased my 240 for 700 w/no engine, but then if you have the money, hook it up. Don't put on some riceybody kit. Keep it clean and simple. Invest in the Ka24 and suspension. Paint and body should be the last thing to do.

hahaha thats one of the 240sx's i sold last year. i bought it all f***ed up. when i sold it it ran pretty good. diddnt have any rust or major body damage. i sold it for like 1300 or 1400 i forget and it diddnt have any exhaust.

and if your serious about building a car from the ground up i have a very straight rust free shell ill sell you for 300. its a shell tho so not much is left, just perfect for building from the ground up.

wow take this guy up on his offer $300 for a rust free clean shell is a steal, if you want to build from the ground up a shell is the way to go you can do it right strip it completely down repaint everything and freshen up the interior. Thats basically what I'm doing its a pain sourcing all the parts to put it back together but its probably easier to find them in your area of the country.

Ricey body kit not at all although i haven't done much in the import game. I've seen my fare share of riceyness and also let myself fall victim to some rice when i had my ek9 hatch, but with the help of some of my friends and a little rehab i was cured. I'm looking at one of the ORIGIN kits that i saw on enjuku racing. Nothing extreme just something nice and simple, i don't really like how the 240's look stock but at the same time i don't want to spend a ton of money doing a s15 conversion rather spend it on suspension and motor work. I'm also leaning toward the work emotion cr kai's in either red or buffed metal....I think either of those colors would look ridiculous with the daytona blue paint.

the car is 99.9999999999% rust free. im sure you could find some surface rust somewhere if you wanted to be a nazi. its cleaner than my 240. (someone hit me and diddnt have insurance so thats the only reason why) i said it was a shell and when i say that i mean it. its got the back lower portion of the seat left. thats it. front left control arm is gone and it has no wheels. doors are gutted. no diff. no front end or hatch. would be best to tow on a trailer. these cars are light so you can just lift them up there. trust me we did it to a coupe that had alot more stuff on it. i have almost everything to make it a complete car but you gotta remember i part cars for a living thats how i make all my money so i wont just give it away. ill get you some pics as soon as i get back to my place.

My S13 looks good stock with the Silvia front-end. I'm done with the Sr20. It runs smooth and pulls hard. I'm working on painting my bish. Not gonna go crazy with it, then I'll work on suspension and wheels.

The thing to remember is; have fun with it, take your time and do things right the first time.

well i got this for $1000:

so i guess its a comparison for you. there was only a tiny (pen tip sized) bit of rust on the roof and the speedometer doesnt work. other than that, everything is perfect. interior is a little shot though. but i'm planning on replacing that soon anyways.
