im going to be getting an intake system soon and i really do not want to void warranty as i only have 1000 miles on my 07 g35 coupe. my question is.. how can i install the intake without damaging the MAF sensor? what things do i have to avoid doing? also if i install a throttle body spacer and a plenum spacer, will those upgrades void warranty as well?

Non of these mod should void your warranty unless the problem is related to your mod. However they can give you a hard time at the dealer.

I have an intake and When I bought the car brand new I asked the sales guy to introduce me to the service manager. Cut it short I started to talk to the mngr and told him I may do some mods on the car. He was cool he told me whenever I decide to do it just to see him before I pull the trigger. I wanted to buy an intake asked him what he thinks. I told him I would go with the Stillen. He told me that's a good choice. They even can install it for me for free if I want. I told him I 'll do it. Once I did it and took it in to show him. He said if anybody wants to give me a hard time just tell them to talk to him. He even came out with me to listen to the new tune. That was the first 07g35 sedan with the aftermarket intake he seen.

yeah i understand the main thing that i wanted to know is what things i should look out for when installing the parts in order not to damage anything else in the engine? alos, lets say that something does get damaged in the engine.. lets say the MAF sensor is damaged. would they be able to tell that i had an aftermarket intake if i put back the stock intake?

Here's the best advice. Go with an AEM dryflow filter instead of a K&N style. The MAF should be completely fine (unless you drop it on the floor or something).

If I remember correctly, the laws regarding warranties states that the dealer must be able to prove that the mod caused the failure or damaged the vehicle in some way.

The intake should not be a problem at all. Especially if you follow my advice and avoid those nasty oiled filters. Things like crank pulleys or reflashed ECUs will probably get you in trouble.

im probably gonna get the stillen high flow intake system or the jwt popcharger. do those have the aem style dryflow filters? and if they dont.. can the k&n style filters just be substitued with the aem style filters?

Yes. Just be sure to get the correct diameter filter.

The filter will probably put you back about $60-$65.
