Hi everyone. I just bought my first Infiniti, a 2007 G35. Ive had it about a month but im still having a hard time getting used to the gas pedal. It seems kinda akward when taking off from intersections or stop signs. Its not the car,its me! I cant accelerate smoothly from a take off. If I really focus and try I can but Im just curious if anyone else has encountered this. I spoke to the dealership about it,and their response was that "you just have to get used to it", witch kinda makes sense because other G35s that we test drove seemed to be the same way. I realize that the throttle system is electronic, but is there a spring or other fix to make it more comfortable to drive? thx

Welcome to Nico!!!
No, it's not you it's the 2007 G35.
They fixed the issue on the 2008.
I thought I read that the dealership can fix this by reflashing the ECU???
I'm sure another member will jump in shortly and correct me!! :chuckle: \
bottom line is there is a 'fix'

You should never be taking off smooth. You should be racing everywhere you go :D

LOL. I dunno. There are several ECM reflashes available. The 2007 sedan was the first year of the "2nd Generation" so there were thing that they kept adapting.

Not you...I'd take it to a dealer. I think this problem can be fixed.

There is a TSB for sensitive throttle for 07. But beware it will feel a little slower after the update. But it will cure the sensitive throttle. I personally loved it on my 07. My 08 is smoother and missing the kicks from the 07. LOL

I have this issue with my month old G37 coupe. Perhaps I'll call the dealer.
