dude all u gotta do is have someone turn the key to "ON" and stand at the rear and hear if the fuel pump comes on, if you hear it making a noise its good.

fuel inejctors, again just turn the key have someone do it, and listen to each 1 one by 1 by ear with a screwdriver to your ear. if you hear injectors click they should be good to go.

..but what if there's a problem (like a clog/leak) in the line, closer to the engine?? you would hear them come on but fuel flow would still be disrupted.

did you try injector cleaner.. like seafoam or anything? that along with checking the lines (with your eyes) would help to narrow your search for the problem.

and yes, I believe a Ka needs a fuel regulator. That is the kind of thing you upgrade when you can, not remove altogether.

and lastly, did you check your spark plugs? it is possible for them to be dirty enough to make the car sputter and seem like it is choking... just a thought..

Yes you need a Fuel Pressure Regulator. The stock unit is located in the Fuel Return line at the rear of the Fuel Rail. It runs off of Vacum.

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter? It sounds like a cloged / blocked fuel line to me.

Change your fuel filter, fix the bad wires and check again.
