i have a 1990 240 with a stock ka24e......the other night i was driving, stopped at 711 to buy a slurpee, get back in and bam, car wouldnt start, it would crank, starter is good, battery is good, i immediately think FUEL PUMP, i go check the fuse its fine, relay i couldnt check cuz i was at a damn 711, i pull the fuel hose and its bone dry, turn the ignition on and no fuel....i then noticed my dash light was out along with my brake lights, which i fixed when i bought the car since the fuses were burned out. Now i brought it home i pull out the fuel pump relay which i after hours of searching found out is the "EGI PUMP" relay. and the plastic "not the relay" is kinda burned around the connectors....soooooo yeah...HOPEFULLY its not the computer...anyone have a clue of what it could be?

did you check voltage at the pump when you turn the key on? usually the best way to check is with a homemade test light with a headlamp because of amperage. if you have enough power back there to power a headlamp then your fuel pump is dead. also google s13 ecu pinout ka24e and see which wire goes to the fuel pump relay. does it put out voltage with key on?

or. Turn the key to acc, and listen for the hum/whine of the fuel pump. You say you arent getting any fuel to the lines. Chances are your fuel pump is out, I guess even the fuel filter could be clogged. Replace both and get back to us.

throwing parts at it might not solve his issue. if he has a power supply issue a new fuel pump wont do a thing. measure twice cut once.

First of, thanks for taking the time to help guys, i pulled out the egi pump relay, switched it for the EGI relay and bam it started, the problem now is that its misfiring and i still dont know why the tail lights and dash burned out. Its weird cuz i cant say the wires, plugs, are dist cap and rotors are bad because before the incident everything was fine....evertime i turn it on is sounds like a subaru with an exhausts, its kinda funny lol, but yeah its missing like crazy, and also heres more weirdness, after i started the car it sounded like i was running without any oil, i pulled the dipstick out and there was none, just a little bit but extremely dirty, there arent any leaks and i know for a fact that there was enough (althought not clean) oil in it, it was kinda knocking so i changed the oil and it went away...now the prob is the misfiring...im gonna change the wires and plugs this week and update, im also going to try to take a vid of is running. Thanks again guys.

Ok so basically the pump was fine, the EGI PUMP relay was bad so that was replaced but ran like a suby, problem for THAT was a bad EGI (NOT EGI PUMP which is right next to it), once i popped a new one in the car ran normal...NOW the issue is that my brake lights and gauge lights wont come on cuz the fuse for them keeps blowing...ive read and SEARCHED alot and found out that its a common problem, most people say its the TCU the little white box slightly under the fuse fox by the pedals so i pulled that out and it was good...the other suggestion was a bad ground but i dont know where all the grounds arem anyone have a diagram or where all the grounds are so i can find what the issue is with this common problem that no one seems to figure out?..i also heard it could be a bad bulb...bulbs are find however i DID find that one of the bulb housings was kinda melted but the bulb worked find (for the time being that the fuse wasnt blown)
