I recently un bolted my exhaust to intall a new one and when i did it souded very good with out a mufler on it. Has any one else tried it? I got less millege so im pretty shure i got more power but have not tested it yet.

If you dont have an exhaust then the carbon dioxide from it will get into the car and kill you. Well maybe not kill you but it will get into the car.

Loud DOES NOT EQUAL Good.

"Loud" doesn't mean power all the time bro.. sometimes it means something is broken or needs repair..

"Less mpg" could be fouled plugs, poor gas or a heavy foot.

Most mechanic work slowly almost at a "part time" pace to not make mistakes doing repairs..
