Trunk will not open

I can't get the trunk of my 2004 G35 to open. The keyfob won't open it and I can't get it open from the inside (I did check the glove box to ensure it was not locked)

Any ideas what the problem may be?

Fuse, or a stuck latch.

As antiquated at keys and key holes are, it's times like these that I wonder why they did away with all but one key hole.

How old is the battery in the FOB? If you can't remember, try replacing it.

That won't fix the problem if the interior button won't work either.

It happen to me a couple of times on my 07, exactly the same. Later I learned that if I insert the key to the ignition, with or without starting, then everything worked. I guess it's because I didn't lock the car with key fob, it mess up its computer logic. This evening at the same place where it failed to open before I locked the door with fob. As I walked back to the car, the fob opened the truck. So try that, it might work for you.
