Hello all,

May be soon picking up a 2009 3.5se coupe and had a quick question. I know the rear seats fold down and I am wondering if anybody can tell me the width and height of the pass thru? Also does anybody know the length from the end of the trunk to the back of the front seats? I have scoured the internet and could not find this info. I am asking because I surf and would like to know if I would be able to slide a board or two in that space.

Thanks very much for any assistance!!

If you don't have a reply by mid-morning tomorrow, I'll go out and take a few measurements for you. How long is the board? I know the height should be ok for 2-3 boards, but not sure about the length.

Welcome! Why not go to where you are purchasing it and make the necessary measurements?

I'll tell you right now, you can barely fit a dead midget in side that trunk.

Sorry for the delay...

the pass through opening is ~32" wide by 11 3/4" high.

The distance from the back of the passenger seat to the back of the closed trunk is ~64" and if you slide the passenger seat all the way forward you will have ~72".

I think most short surfboards at like 6 feet aren't they? Would be a pretty tight fit, but I think it's possible. Take your board to the dealer and see if it fits.

also..

If you do a lot of surfing and/or hauling stuff to the beach have you considered another car? Will this be your only vehicle? I'm not aware of a roof rack system for the coupe, I know Thule doesn't have one because I've looked lol

I've seen custom roof racks on altima coupes. looks ugly, but gets the job done.

Interesting...wonder how they attached it? I surprised they don't have a suction cup based system using large versions of the gopro type suction mounts, I bet I could rig something up with 4-6 of them lmao.

I use this for my camping/hobby needs lol

Not really sure how they mount it. But I know it's identical to the honda accord coupe mounts. And if all else fail you can just get a roof basket.
