Bump, you sure you have no release inside the car?

You don't need to bump a thread that was created the day before, this isn't Gen Chat - threads don't drop off so quick here.

As XJM said, there's no release inside the cabin. Key fob or rubber button under the deck lid are the only choices.

I Would almost assume that it it's just a open circuit on the actual switch(under the lid). If it was a blown fuse, it will not work altogether. Check the wiring on the rubber switch under the lid.

It was not me that bumped it. It was someone else. Chill.

But i will check the switch later this week. Also is there an online 350z manual somewhere? Maybe some PDF file.

There is no release within easy reach from the driver seat, but there should be a release under the rear strut brace. If you feel under it there should be a rectangular cut out and there should be a small metal pull tab. It doesn't take much pull to release the hatch. It's in there because all cars have to have a pull release in case someone gets locked in the trunk/hatch. In cars with actual trunks the release glows in the dark or is supposed to.

Oh, cool, that's good to know, I've been attaching/detaching the battery terminal to gain access to the hatch on one I've been working on for a while.

Thanks for the tip!

ok I checked all the fuses and all is good. I appears the trigger on the rear bumper is plugged in. So I think the switch is just bad.

Dont know if I mentioned it but the trunk does open with the remote and I am aware if the release under the strut tower. Just want the button on the rear bumper to work.

thanks

If you know how to use a multimeter, check the switch for continuity (in ohms).
