Trunk rattling...

My trunk is rattling when there is a slight vibration... Is there any way to make the trunk close tighter?

i got the same problem on my HB...car was rear-ended...latch won't adjust any further

there are screws that you loosten, then you can slide it up and down

edit: ill see if i can uncover the old fsm tonight and check it out to give an exact procedure

2 screws....loosen them...move the latch down....tighten screws...check for proper operation...repeat as necessary

and if that dont work...the clip that actually locks the hatch down...maybe loose...and you would therefore have to replace the lock assembly...it took me 2 years to figure it out... i hope this will help you!

My trunk rattles too. I just have not taken the time to try to figure out what is wrong. It seems tight when I close it but still rattles. I did notice one of the rubber 'stoppers' on the lid is missing, so maybe that is the problem.
