What system you go?consider facing the subs to the back seat, will reduce most of the rattling

you def wanna insulate the trunk, these trunks are nothing but metal, and they dont have anything else attached to them like other cars have, such as plastic moullding or some other sort of lining. dynamats or other similar noise dampering priducts you may find at home depot or something like that will do great, just remember, you add more weight to the back of your car (i dunno if that matters to you or not tho)

If you're rich buy dynamat, but if you're like the rest of us then B-quiet is the best way to go. all sound and rattle damping material is the exact same as dynamat, but dynamat is more expensive because it's sold in circuit city and best buy and such. look up b-quiet on the net, and pretty soon I'm going to be installing 50 sq feet of it in my a/c, ill be taking loads of pics along the way and detailing every step for everyone else. order some b-quet (its about half the price for twice the amount) and while it's being shipped to you read the write up and guide that I'm working on.

If you don't trust me, then ask our resident audio expert Dr. Feelgood. He'll tell you B-quiet is the way to go. I ve got two overpowered 12" type r's in my trunk and trust me, just facing your subs the other way isn't gonna do much unless you're only putting out up to 300 watts rms. Im pushing 1200 rms just in the trunk and trust me, you need this stuff, and a lot of it. thats why it's so much better for the price.

If you do order it, they have an 8 year anniversery, 8% off deal, AND use the code LS1.com, for an extra 10 percent off. I paid 90 bucks for 50 feet with rush delivery.

Speaking of B-Quiet vs Dynamat, I just asked Dr. Feelgood about it! He's building a very hefty sound system and is using B-Quiet. Here's the tread about it: http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/328889 My question is near the bottom of the page.

Performance wise they seem pretty similar, but to put prices in perspective, on eBay the 36sq ft roll of Dynamat Xtreme goes for about $100, whereas the 50sq ft roll of B-Quiet Ultimate is the same price. So you're getting 14 sq ft more at the same price.

I'm not endorsing one over the other (since I don't actually know what's better in real life usage), just putting it out there.
