A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

First off I want to thank everyone in advance for their guidance regarding this issue.

I've got a post up in the Audio thread as well but I thought I might ask some B16 owners as well.

What I have...2008 Nissan Sentra Se-R Spec V (The seats don't fold down)Pioneer F900BT (In-Dash)Rockford P1000-1BD (Mono)2 Alpine Type R 12'sRockford P400-4 (4 Channel)Simple 1 Farad Capacitor (Useless for this stuff btw)

The trunk rattles like no other, it sounds fine on the inside unless I turn it up to the point where my Alternator can't handle it.

On the outside however, even at a moderate level. There is a tremendous amount of trunk rattle, this wouldn't bug me but I'm trying to be courteous to those around me. We took a look and from where the sound is coming from Dynamat isn't going to do anything. Quite a bit of vibration is coming from the latch itself. I was looking into using a slow expanding foam (properly applied) but not sure how effective it might be. If I get out of the car and lean hard on the trunk itself (downward) I can get quite a bit of vibration to go away.

Any suggestions would be great!

also remember that your license plate is gunna rattle quite a bit i duck tape some egg crate foam behind mine to get rid of that rattle as for the rest of your rattle issues its one of those things you cant really do much about it.

Sorry, forgot to mention I have already eliminated any noise from the license plate.

We started to put it on the trunk lid but after closer examination figured out it was more in the design on the trunk. Ultimately we think foam is going to be the best option, but its not fun to work with and is a MAJOR PAIN to clean up. I hope someone has figured out a solution so I don't have to be the test dummie...

Dynamat isn't gonna do the trick, but this stuff looks pretty good. Cost wasn't the issue, I get dynamat super cheap. Have you ever used this edead stuff???

Most people disconnect the rear speakers before you destroy them with a trunk mounted sub.
