I recently bought a 2000 Q45 Anniversary Edition and when I open the trunk past, say, 30 degrees above level it will continue to open all the way by itself, but when it reaches the trunk stop point it does a couple of bounces. Is this normal, or is there some type of dampener that is supposed to stop this from happening, that is not working properly?

Thanks,

rodorr

My 97' is pretty much like that too...the spring is pretty strong and so when it pops open pretty strong.

I'd worry about fluids flushes and other items before I'd care about this issue.

Thanks for the responses. I've been taking care of the big things, and when I've got the time I like fixing the small ones too, like replacing my filament bulbs with L.E.D.'s, etc. I've got very limited range with my keyless remote. I think I'll tackle that next.
