Trunk Pop Solenoid stopped working & found mystery plug

replaced with used one, 2 screws hold it in.had to remove the latch as well to install the pull cable.took 10 minutes then another 20 minutes to allign properly

while in there on the left side rear found a small plug that was not connected, i plugged it in No idea what it does??????????????????

That cable should be up under the rear deck near speakers/fpcu

I think he was referring to a cable near the trunk latch/key cylinder,which could be the security system lead for the trunk key cylinder....or possibly for spoiler mounted chmsl if it is in the trunk lid itself, not by the latch-not sure which exact area he is talking about?

i'll take a pic over the weekend i think it was a 2 wire plug that went towards the quarter panel maybe
