K, so I have a 95 240sx and it treats me pretty good, except the weird clunk from the trunk on bumps and stuff. I have all tubular and adjustable rear components, stance GR+ coils, and solid sub-frame bushings (made the noise before the solids). Everything is aligned and it drives well except for that blasted noise.

It's coming from the right hand side and I'm wondering if maybe it's the filler hose or something. The noise really doesn't seem to be sub-frame related like some of the other clunking I get. It sounds like a knocking that's in the sheet metal in that same area as the wheel well. I've looked and its not the tire rubbing, but I'm running out of ideas.

So, any ideas on where to look from the thousands of other dudes with 240sx random rear end noises would be appreciated guys!

check all the bushings on the right rear. all of them. load them with a prybar or something to see how much they move.

maybe remove the trunk int. and check the wheel well... could be a screw driver or some thing in side... maybe?

Yeah thanks for all the ideas already guys. I'm def going to check the dead space back there and the pillow ball. I should have some feedback for the troubleshooting some time tomorrow.

Keep the ideas coming!
