trunk lock cylinder removal?

well long story short, i traded my trunk for a wingless trunk from a freind..... this friday we wanna swap the lock cylinders over.

does anyone have a writeup on how to remove the lock cylinder without damaging it?

ive looked and cant find any info

agreed. use your LOOKERS. that means EYES.

then use your BRAIN (thinkity noodle)

then swap the easiest locks EVER.

It could be tricky for some people. There's a clip holds the cylinder asembly. Use flat head screw driver and pop that thing out and swap.

If you have silvia lock, yes, you can swap the lock mechanism too. I did it a long time ago, and IIRC I used a small flat head screw driver to take out the internal. You have to bend a lip to take intenal out, swap and bend the lip back to seure. Your original key will work with silvia lock.

thanks for some actual useful information.... i wanted to look it up before i tried and see if there were any little tricks to it.
