Trunk light not bright enough -- Anyone know what kind of light it is?

Hey guys,

I always thought the light in the trunk was never bright enough and wanted to change it to LEDs to make it brighter. Before I attempt to pop it open, I was wondering if anyone else has already done it or tried.

Does anyone know if it takes the same kind of light as dome light or license plate light?

I've noticed that too when opening the hatch. I'll end up changing out all the interior lights with LEDs for a consistent appearance. I think the part # is DE3175, the same as the map/dome lights.

My car doesn't have a trunk light =(.

Nope. The bulb in the trunk is just a hair smaller than the dome light. On that note, I was able to cram a DE3175 in there with no apparent adverse effects.
