Is there anyway to adjust the "x" shaped tension bar in the trunk that helps lift the lid? I added a SE spoiler to my base model 240 and now the trunk lid is heavy and doesn't want to stay up.

If you have the hydrolic shock trunk lid you need to put in the se trunk shocks. They are stiffer.

Actually, It is just the springs/tension rods under the back dash. Would it work to just turn them an extra turn, or would that bend/break something?

You need to get the SE trunk springs. You cant turn those around any more, you could break your hand doing it. Even installing the se springs will be a bit scary. I had a set of trunk springs smack my hand once when they slipped off the pry bar, not a pleasant feeling at all.

Ok, Thanks for the "heads up".
