I got this #194 socket adapter for the trunk so that I can hook up flexible LED strip lights for the trunk. The socket seems a little loose like it will only hold a regular filament bulb with that snap-in cover. Is there any way to make the connection secure??

Does anyone have a wiring diagram to maybe tap into on that cord??

Maybe return that and get this instead:

Everything's ready and simple to install. Have it on mine and definitely made a big difference!

does it bypass the #194 plastic socket?? I noticed that the Racingline strip has that red socket to #194 socket, but also has that red plug on the end...does that plug directly into the #194 adapter?? I removed the plastic #194 socket and noticed a white plug on the end...I was able to disconnect the plastic clip. I'm hoping that red clip in the Racinling picture can hook up directly to the #194 wiring harness because then that would be ideal...no more worrying about the #194 adapter popping or slipping off every time I close the trunk!

I'm not sure what "red socket" you're referring to but it was plug and play. I just had to remove the plastic covering and then connect the LED strip, then close the plastic right up.

the LED strip lights from Racingline just came in and I installed it. The wire from the #194 socket adapter is very thick so I couldn't tuck it in that little cup from the plastic covering, but the socket adapter looks like it's got bigger and thicker contacts so it fit snugly. Previous bulbs and socket adapters would pop out when I'd shut the trunk lid when testing it. So hopefully it'll stay in....not sure what will happen when I put a sub in the trunk!!
