Anyone experienced the really interesting trumpet-like and small explosion noise during high revving at over 6300 RPM with their G-35 Coupe? Speed in the G-35 is not mearly as satisfying as the reving. Just my opinion. Car loves to rev, and rev I shall.

Last night I mastered extracting that noise routinely in 2nd and 3rd gear. It was fun--didn't have to go fast to get that sound. At some point, the sound began to sound like a Formula 1 car when I stomp on the gas pedal suddenly. It scared other motorists around me. The mods did help to create the sound. This made me happy all day yesterday. I slept well.

However, it seemed like car had to warm up by driving it for a few minutes before getting that sound. Synthetic oil is fantastic. It keeps the car's temperature down, so you have to drive for a while to get the car up to operating temperature.

It might be a sound wave thing. The trumpet thing is probably okay, the explosions I might worry about.

I shall pay attention to the small expolsion noise. It isn't really pronounced--almost like a small back fire of sorts. I really don't know for now. I shall pay more close attention to it.

I don't get either sound. Just throaty and growly. Me likes...

I did a sound recording of the exhaust note post intake install, I noticed it seemed to get a lot rhaspier after it warmed up a bit... I LIKE THE LOW END GRUNT MYSELF... and when it hits 5k+...

I only have a few mods on the car---Stillen TD catback exhaust, 5/16" spacer, Mrev2, JWT Pop Charger with z-tube.

Maybe I did not explain the sound better. It isn't a growl or deep note. It is like an extreme trumpet sound that seems very Formula 1. At RPMs of 6K to 7K, that sound comes alive--a very violent sound. Try pushing your G-35 in 3rd gear to 7K, with all the mods, and you will see what I mean.
