John Zogby: 'Is it all over for Obama?'

President Obama's approval numbers are in the cellar, a new Quinnipiac University survey just dubbed him the worst president in six decades, so maybe it's no surprise that analyst and pollster John Zogby is asking: “Is it all over for him?”

Armed with new numbers that are depressing to an already deflated White House, Zogby on Wednesday found that most don't believe that Obama can lead the country and he compared the president to Bill Clinton following the Democrat's sweeping 1994 Congressional loss and when former White House Correspondent Brit Hume asked if Clinton was even relevant.

“Mr. Obama finds himself in the uncomfortable position where every age group, independents, and whites all agree that the public has given up on his ability to accomplish anything before the end of his term,” said Zogby in releasing his latest numbers.

“In short, we see a president in full salvage mode. He is not only racing for his legacy but for his relevancy,” Zogby added.

The analyst who pens a weekly report card on the president for Secrets, however, said that there is one positive in all of his polling: As much as Americans disapprove of Obama, they like Congress even less.

The Trump administration is asking Congress to approve a massive economic stimulus package of around $850 billion to stanch the economic free-fall caused by the coronavirus, four officials familiar with the planning said Tuesday.

We have an incompetent president, a failure to lead, an incompetent white house that surrounds Trump with all yes people. We have an incompetent republican led Senate led by Moscow Mitch that fears Trump and cannot lead.

In short we have one huge clusterfvck

Tony Fauchi should be the only one speaking at twice daily white house press briefings and Trump should just STFU and stop repeating bullshyt to the American people

A typical uninformed response of someone who incorrectly called President Obama the worst president in six decades. A president that was reelected and rescued the failing economy from the previous republican president.

Now we have another republican failing president that failed to heed the warnings by President Obama and his team.
Trump now has the entire country in a panic.

Before Trump’s inauguration, a warning: ‘The worst influenza pandemic since 1918’

In a tabletop exercise days before an untested new president took power, officials briefed the incoming administration on a scenario remarkably like the one he faces now.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/1 ... mic-132797

"In a Friday op-ed, Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser, blasted Trump for comments such as “you can never really think” that a pandemic like the coronavirus “is going to happen.” She mentioned the 2017 session as one of many instances of the Obama administration’s efforts to help its successor be ready for such a challenge. She also slammed the Trump team for dismantling the National Security Council section that would play a lead role in organizing the U.S. response to a global pandemic."

Perhaps, but it was ok here when Obama was president. It is very embarrassing to Trump supporters as our economy crashes, millions lose their jobs, millions getting sick, hospitals and our healthcare system being overrun, and a HUGE deficit that the right complained about when Obama bailed out the automobile companies and the banks.
There has been no complaining from the right about the increasing national debt caused by Trumps tax cuts that benefited the wealthiest Americans. Its no wonder Bernie is so popular amount the youngest voters.

And yes very divisive when the facts hurt the butts of those supporting an incompetent and failing president that is so intent on destroying everything the previous president did that his actions are destroying not only his presidency but also his chances of reelection.

This may be the most idiotic thing you've posted to date. Nearly every thing you posted is wrong.

I wonder what excuse the Democrats will use when Trump wins reelection in the biggest landslide in history?

20 decades = 200 years.... almost as old as Howie's underwear.

Who you gonna support this year, Howie? Seems I won a bet four years ago, and you still haven't congratulated me. :)

I also thought we agreed on no more cut-and-paste. If you can't formulate a coherent discussion without copying someone else's writing, don't post.

I don't see this thing surviving the 2016 election.
Not only is it still here it will be expanded as soon as Biden takes office!

President Obama showed leadership when he was able to pass the Affordable Care Act when he became aware of how the lack of healthcare by so many Americans was so costly by the use of hospital emergency rooms for their primary care.

Trump on the other hand showed his incompetence by firing the Pandemic Response Team that was created by President Obama to alert the United States of any serious disease outbreaks anywhere in the world.

Why is it that so many republican administrations are such failures?
FDR had to rescue us from the fiscal failures of Woodrow Wilson
Obama had to rescue us from the failed fiscal policies of Bush
Now we are going to have Biden rescue us from the failures of Trump

For more than four years Trump and other republicans have been promising a better cheaper healthcare plan to replace Obamacare.
Have you seen it?
Where is it?
Has anyone seen it?
The republicans failed to repeal Obama care more than fifty times despite holding the House, Senate, and the White House.
The republicans are nothing but failures to the American people.

1) Biden won't be president. If you'd been paying attention, you'd know this. He'll be lucky if he manages to avoid prison time.
2) Obama didn't "rescue us from the failed fiscal policies of Bush". He took a bad situation and prolonged it with one bad policy after another. Most experts agree that had he simply done nothing the economy would have recovered far sooner than it did.
3) "Trump on the other hand showed his incompetence by firing the Pandemic Response Team." He did no such thing. That lie has already been debunked. Do try to keep up.
4) "Why is it that so many republican administrations are such failures?" As compared to the leadership the Democrats are showing in California?
5) The Democratic Party is tearing itself apart and won't be a viable opposition party for a generation or two (if ever again).

"Asinine?" How about you choke on a d!ck, you loon. When you can get through a day without cutting and pasting, let me know. At least I can compose an original post, Granny.

"Tens of millions not working?" I suppose you have a better idea, since you're clearly the smartest person in the room.

Speaking of incompetent, last I checked, he's employed. You're not.

He's your POTUS, HRC got a mudhole stomped in her fat criminal arse, you're still mentally ill, and your beloved DNC is gonna get arsehammered (yet again) this year because they're the party of old rich white men well-versed in dementia and pedophilia.

Facts. Not opinions. Facts.

Face it, Howie. Five YEARS later, you're still screaming at the sky like the impotent loser you've always been... I may vote for DJT this year *just* to piss you off. :)

Trump has an approval rate of 35 percent with black voters.
He's at 38 percent with Hispanics.
And finally, with Asian voters it's a 28 percent approval rate.

Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election with 88 percent of the black vote.

Wanna take a guess at what all this adds up to?

50-state sweep!

EDIT: More than half of adults, 55%, approve of the president's response to the coronavirus crisis, while 43% do not, according to the results of an ABC News/Ipsos poll released on Friday 3/20/2020.

Trump calls Covid 19 the Chinese virus
I call it the Trump virus

In 2017 Trump disbanded the Pandemic Response Team
In January and February US Intelligence warned Trump about the Corona virus.
On January 22 Trump said "we have it under control"
On January 28th Trump shared an article from One American News Network that Johnson and Johnson was working on a vaccine that was false!
On the 27th of February Trump was blaming immigrants
On March 9th Trump compared Covid 19 to the flu
The next day Trump said anyone who wanted a test could get one. Totally false
On March 13th Trump declared a national emergency and began blaming Obama
On March 17th reporter Yamiche Alcindor asked Trump if it was appropriate to use the term Chinese Flu and Kung Fu and Trump attacked her.
On March 20th Peter Alexander asked Trump what he could say to Americans who are scared and he attacked Peter Alexander calling him nasty and a terrible reporter. Trump had a meltdown in a live news conference similar to the meltdowns that occur with the two of you here in your above posts.
Today we have over 30.000 Covid 19 cases with both Rand Paul and Angela Merkel testing positive.
The cost of Obama care is going to pale in comparison to what this Trump Virus is going to cost Americans.
Medicare for all and free college for all would be far cheaper that the trillions this Trump Virus is going to cost.
Trump exhibits no leadership skills whatsoever.
If one wants to see leadership view the governors of New York and New Jersey daily briefings.
Trump thus far has refused to invoke the Defense Production Act saying earlier this year that he was not a shipping clerk.
Hospitals around the nation are pleading for masks, ventilators, PPE gowns, test swabs and Trump has no clue on how to respond.

What a loser and an incompetent a$$hole along with most of those around him

Thanks for sharing the Democrats false talking points. Still doing copypasta I see.

According to the CDC, from April 2009 through mid December 2010 at least 57 million Americans had been infected by H1N1 (aka Swine Flu). Another 257,000 were hospitalized, with a death toll of 11,690 of which about 10% were children. I don't remember anyone blaming Obama. Care to share the criticisms you posted about Obama's failures in dealing with that epidemic? Or did you give him a free pass on that?

As Trump keeps calling COVID 19 the Chinese virus many are fearing for their lives.

Spit On, Yelled At, Attacked: Chinese-Americans Fear For Their Safety

As bigots blame them for the coronavirus and President Trump labels it the “Chinese virus,” many Chinese-Americans say they are terrified of what could come next.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/23/us/c ... e=Homepage

"As the coronavirus upends American life, Chinese-Americans face a double threat. Not only are they grappling like everyone else with how to avoid the virus itself, they are also contending with growing racism in the form of verbal and physical attacks. Other Asians-Americans — with families from Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar and other places — are facing threats, too, lumped together with Chinese-Americans by a bigotry that does not know the difference."

"But unlike 2001, when President George W. Bush urged tolerance of Muslim-Americans, this time President Trump is using language that Asian-Americans say is inciting racist attacks.

Mr. Trump and his Republican allies are intent on calling the coronavirus “the Chinese virus,” rejecting the World Health Organization’s guidance against using geographic locations when naming illnesses, since past names have provoked a backlash.

Governors and mayors in growing uproar over Trump’s lagging coronavirus response

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... li=BBnb7Kz

"President Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic sparked uproar and alarm among governors and mayors on Sunday as Trump and his administration’s top advisers continued to make confusing statements about the federal government’s scramble to confront the crisis, including whether he will force private industry to mass produce needed medical items. "

Governors across the nation slam federal coronavirus response: ‘We didn’t take this seriously’

State governors say their demands for more masks and other medical equipment are not being met, forcing them to compete with each other for critical supplies in the coronavirus pandemic.
“This should have been a coordinated effort by the federal government...It’s a Wild West out there...Indeed we’re overpaying for PPE because of that competition,” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Sunday that the federal government needs to nationalize the purchase of needed medical supplies.

So you're just going to ignore the fact that the MSM has referred to the WuFlu as Chinese? So in your warped version of reality those heinous attacks only happened because of Trump? Do you seriously expect people to believe that had the MSM continued to say Chinese virus, and Trump had never said it, those attacks wouldn't have happened???

"No leadership coming from the federal government" Are you freaking kidding? The CDC is part of the federal government and they've been all over this. What were the Democrats doing? Oh yeah, trying to impeach the president.

Which reminds me, where's Joe Biden? He's been MIA for awhile now.

Does Joe Biden think being President would be just like being Vice President, except he'd get to sleep in the White House? Without someone telling him what to do, where to go, he seems a bit lost.

Seems to me there are two possibilities:

1. He has health issues and hasn't been seen publicly because of that.
2. He's well but refused or failed to stay in touch with the people and be present during an emergency.

Either way, he's not fit to be president. I mean I've never seen a campaign that's required to do proof of life videos. Usually you can't get them off the screen. Do Democrats understand that Joe has to make it to November and it's only March?

Not a thread hijack. You repeatedly pointed out that (in your opinion) Trump has failed in his leadership and "Now we are going to have Biden rescue us from the failures of Trump" (your words). My pointing out that Creepy Joe is showing ZERO leadership skills fits in the conversation.

Just curious, did your mom drop you on your head (repeatedly) when you were a child?

Not only is Trump dumb, incompetent but so are most of his followers.
Trump has no leadership skills
If one want to see leadership you can see Governor Andrew Cuomo on his daily press briefings

Another Trump Genus after watching Fox News

Man Dies, Woman Hospitalized After Taking Form Of Chloroquine To Prevent COVID-19

https://www.npr.org/sections/coronav...event-covid-19

"An Arizona man is dead and his wife was hospitalized after the couple ingested a form of chloroquine, a chemical that has been hailed recently by President Trump as a possible "game changer" in the fight against the novel coronavirus, according to the Phoenix hospital that treated the couple."

While that's a tragic story, there's two things wrong with your assessment.

1) Trump did not force, cajole, intimidate, or persuade these individuals to do anything. They made an ill informed decision. Don't forget, Trump isn't the only one talking about chloroquine. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said NY will begin trials with 750,000 doses of chloroquine. If you're going to hold Trump culpable, then you have to do the same for Cuomo.

2) Nowhere in that article does it say that they were FOX news watchers or Trump supporters. So you made that part up. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at such a cheap shot. It's a typical Democratic tactic, if you can find something to fit your narrative, make it up.

Perhaps our incompetent and leadership failed president will rise from the brain dead on Easter Sunday?

How Cuomo, Once on Sidelines, Became the Politician of the Moment

With his coronavirus briefings, Gov. Andrew Cuomo has emerged as an authoritative voice in the crisis.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/24/nyre ... e=Homepage

Trump is not an authoritative voice but an incapable leader.

"You want a pat on the back for sending 400 ventilators?” the governor said, referring to a recent federal government shipment to New York.

“What am I going to do with 400 ventilators when I need 30,000?” he said later. “You pick the 26,000 people who are going to die because you only sent 400 ventilators.”

"The governor repeatedly assailed the federal response as slow, inefficient and inadequate, far more aggressively than he had before."
"His briefings — articulate, consistent and often tinged with empathy — have become must-see television. On Tuesday, his address was carried live on all four networks in New York and a raft of cable news stations, including CNN, MSNBC and even Fox News.
"Mr. Cuomo’s handling of the crisis has fostered a nationwide following; Mr. Biden called Mr. Cuomo’s briefings a “lesson in leadership,” and others have described them as communal therapy sessions. The same blunt and sometimes paternalistic traits that have long rubbed his critics raw have morphed into a source of comfort.

"There were also signs that Washington was listening: after Mr. Cuomo spoke on Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence said 2,000 ventilators were being sent to New York, with a promise of 2,000 more on Wednesday."

Only 227 more days of this incompetent a$$hole

Howie you really are falling for those Lamestream Media talking points aren't you? Okay, spin this if you can.

According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (JHCHS), the United States was ranked the best-prepared country in the world to handle a pandemic. That ranking came out at the end of 2019 in the Global Health Security Index. The GHS Index is the first comprehensive assessment of global health security capabilities in 195 countries. Under President Trump's leadership the United States came in first place.

And what about the claims made by some Democrats that Trump has decimated the nation’s public health leadership? “The CDC’s response has been excellent, as it has been in the past,” said John Auerbach, president of the nonpartisan Trust for America’s Health. Auerbach said CDC’s top scientific ranks have remained stable during the past three years.

Ooh lookie here, AP FACT CHECK: Democrats distort coronavirus readiness.

AP FACT CHECK: Democrats distort coronavirus readiness

One month ago Trump was calling this outbreak a hoax

Go listen to Governor Andrew Cuomo speaking live now on MSNBC
He speaks with facts. Not alternative facts like those around Trump

He is so much more a leader than the incompetent Trump
