Trump hurting his own brand?

Coming from a right-leaning, conservative business publication some of these conclusions ring true that Trump's candidacy has hurt his own hotel business enough to force a name change.

I wonder, too, if the name change might have been almost inevitable as he nears handing the reins to the next generation of Trumps. He may not want anyone, even his own children, to be responsible for a business bearing his name so prominently.

Did anyone else notice that Trump's newest hotels share their name with a defunct, low end Toyota brand instead of his own name?

I wonder if it's by design. He may see a trademark angle that could see him suing deep pockets even if Toyota retained the trademark should they try to use it again.

Hmmm. I could actually picture the reverse case, where Toyota sues Trump as Toyota probably still owns the trademark. Trump's most spectacular business failures, like the Trump Shuttle, suggest he did not give much thought before committing. It does not appear he's changed much.
