The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending June 30, 2007. Late responses could lead to further changes, but these are unlikely to be large.

For the 2007 Nissan Altima, I have an average of 2.8 months of data on 41 cars.

The stat of 72 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.7 per vehicle) is a bit worse than average for a 2007 model.

Examples of problems reported include:Power window switchReplaced radiator assembly, to fix leakMinor oil leak because of poorly sealed oil panPoorly aligned front bumperCenter console replaced

The results do not include recalls, warning light resets, or reflashes.

I've been seeing lower repair rates for the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, and Hyundai Sonata. The repair rate for the new Toyota Camry is just a little lower, and has been creeping up. The repair rate for the also new Saturn AURA is similar to that for the Altima. The repair rate has been higher for the VW Passat.

The next update, in November, should include additional model years.

Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thanks, I literally couldn't have done it without you. Those who aren't yet helping out, I hope you'll consider doing so.
