hello everyone im new to this forums and i know this question has already been answered many times. BUT, just wanted to know if this is true.

The fwd sr20 is the same block as the rwd just the heads are different?just wanted to know if i could use the bottom end thing from a rwd also im building a fwd sr anyone know of good place for parts fpr this engine

The motors maybe the same as the name goes. But you can't use a RWD sr20 block for your transverse purposes. Just get the motor that you need. Alot more simple and alot less headache. The motors may look the same at brief glance, but there are alot of things that don't interchange on the two.

Internally, as far as pistons and such, I think you'd be fine. Got some RWD stuff laying around and a FWD car?

no got rwd drive cars and just got a fwd sr20 laying around so i figured ill build it and put it in something.also does any know if this engine will fit in a maxima or altima sorry new to this whole fwd thing looks like fun.

Fits in '91-'01 Sentras and the NX2000, I think that's it.

A FWD SR engine will also fit in a G20. Can't forget the G....leather luxury.
