Meh, that depends totally on the driver. It won't last to 100,000 if you're too dumb to change the oil. Or if you like the rev limiter too much, or if you cruise at 5k rpm for 10,000 miles, or if you go from 4th to 1st from redline 4th. Lol.

With a good driver and well maintained, any Nissan can last to 300k.

any car will last a long time if you take care of it

i had a nissan truck with the vg30de motor in it with 380+thousand miles on it and i sold the trucki had a datsun pickup with the z24 motor (8 spark plug 4cyl)with a little over 300k on it

my trans am has 170k on it and i drag that car all the time

just make sure you take care of it and it will last.for the record though, nissans do seem to last forever

Completly false. A buddy of mine has a 93 240SX and wanted to destroy the motor. the car had over 200K hard miles and we could not brake that damn motor. He still has the car and she runs like a champ. well, she kind of smokes but hey It's had a hard life. Oh and please punch your friend in the f***ing ovaries for me.

totally false, when i was swapping to my CA, i had a bad oil leak in my ka, so at 170,000 miles, i basically drove it with no oil for about 50 miles to see what would happen and it still was fine..... the kid i sold the motor to has had it a year, and it still runs today... so F*** that guy.

my ka ran strong up to 193,xxx miles when i replaced it with an RB. the RB runs just as well. my chassis has 198,000 miles on it and doesnt show any signs of giving up the ghost. #1 maintenence tip, CHANGE YOUR OIL EVERY 3,000 MILES OR LESS. use good oil (the KA loved synthetic) and use a decent filter.

my ka24de in my 2nd 240sx ran strong with no burning of oil @220k miles.I sold my first with 120k on it . If you take care of your car it will take care of you . I had a ford t super coupe that started giving up at like 78k so that should tell you somthing about nissan cars. Also My brothers pathfinder 1995 has 250k on it and runs well.

my 89 240 had 300k before it blew the head gasket. i think that is what it was, there was water coming out of the hose from the valve cover.

Hmmm.. FALSE!!

I have 160,000 on the odometer so that should say something.

Change oil every 3,000 milesChange transmission/diff fluid every 10,000 milesFlush radiator (ideally) every year although I haven't done that to mine since the end of 2003.

The only thing I have ever (had) to replace is the water pump.

I have been running the same Fidanza flywheel and Exedy clutch for over 4 years now also, plus I have flushed the power steering system as well.

Yeah a good Judo chop to the neck is in order!!

165k on a KA24E and doing just fine in a all motor dime now. She's seeing 180k+ and still happy as can be. So whoever told you that needs to get their facts straight.

Like EVERYONE said, complete BS. Like people said, it depends on maintenance, and driving habits. I've rebuilt several nissan engines, and have seen virtually no cylinder taper after 200-250KM on most. I've even seen the original hone marks in some. Most nissan engines I've seen required minimal machining when rebuilding, and I've had none come back to the shop.

You SHOULDV'E kicked him in the balls, and given his car the golden shower. hahaha

Just to clarify- I've had none come back to the shop because of problems from the rebuilds. Almost all come back for other work or routine maintenance.

false I'm at 240k and its running great has a few problems to work out but any old car has those, the trick is to baby it, I treat my cars like my women, throw paycheck after paycheck at them and they stay happy. any time I have extra cash it goes straight to my car.

i know that others already said what i am going to say but. it is false i own 2 240's both with ka's both at 170k miles. almost bought a sentra from a buddy it has 230k. and then there was my dads gf's truck a little hardbody. it was owned by here family since new the first and only major part to go out was the odometer.

and being easy and good maintanence habits are helpful but my daily driven 240 and the sentra are what you would call a beater.

False about nissans and fords, my 93 240 just rolled over 170k and it has great compressions still and runs strong, my 91 SOHC 240 has over 215k and it runs strong still as well, my 86 F150 has a HO 302 and it has 183k on it and it still has power out the yang and runs strong too! like dude said, its all in the maintenance, as your mileage goes up you just gotta do stuff earlier, change the oil and stuff sooner, the original engine that was in my F150 was the 300ci I6 and it ran great for 300k until i started to screw around with it and threw a rod...
