ok, so does anyone have a REAL HID conversion? I've seen a couple but i really want to know how well they work from a driver's perspective. Also, does anyone have one of those fake HID convo's (lighting amplifiers) (I.E. Catz ZETA, Mic GEE sys, etc)How do those work out. I'm all about goin fast, but only when i can see in front of me. And i would rather slam my dong in a sliding glass door before i got ricey fog lights.

i think i might have heard about someone doing a HID conversion, but i think he was BSin. he was on the old board, but he got flammed off. anyway, i think the silvia headlights are HID aren't they?? i know they are a projector type headlight, which is why i want them. i'm not sure about them being HID tho.

ya apparently there's 2 kinds of s15, projector and HID. the HID ones have an aimable beam, (like your power windows) but then they give a pattern for RHD. And s15 hids go for like 2500. you can get an hid kit for like 400-600. an "amplifier" for 250, those r supposed to give you like 200-250% more light. and bulbs for 20. so is HID worth it? do amplifiers work? Anyone have HID? im sure someone does. . . .

S14s are only projectors.

HIDs (real ones) are insane, I love how they look, and to me its seems that they have a really big difference in visibility. I drove my friends S4 with them, and I love them. Down the road that will be my only other exterior mod (wheels aside). They are definitly worth it.

Philips makes a true HID kit, but I don't know if they make one for Nissans.

Does anyone know if you can hook up HIDs from Infinitis or whatnot, because I know if the Honduh world the CL-typeS HIDS can be rigged to work properly in any other Honda (civic, accord, prelude, ect.).

IIRC, FreshAlloy had a post on this. A guy with the MC S14 headlights took out the stock projector and replaced it with a 99+ (not exactly sure on the year) BMW 3-series HID light. It pretty much went in without a hitch. Not all that much money either (he bought his new from BMW). You could find them at a junk yard if you really looked I suppose.

Yes, they make HID conversions for almost every import and campact car. I was just wondering how they work/look from the drivers seat. To get an HID convo go to overboost.com and look in the store. Or go to Catz lighting, (fet-usa.com, or something like that.)Alright, peace

i may be mistaken but im pretty sure they are not as hot, since they dont have a filiment, and only use like 30-35 watts of power compared to 55-85 for stock/sftermarket bulbs. . . anyone have HID ontheir car and have a pic from INSIDE?

[quote=" Lost_To_A_K-Car [That's good, because fog lights don't do anything at highway speeds. [/quote]

Is that because you are going faster than the speed of light, and they can't keep up?

no, that's because the fog lights only project about 100 feet(correct me please) ahead of you, so at 120 ft/second(80mph) your lights, you only have less than a second to react to anything that comes up. that's not counting your factory headlights, which project farther though. this is called out-driving your vision
