Ok...I looked around on here for a good 3 hours so if I missed this info I apologize. It seems that most of the info is centered around the cars. I have a 94 Hardbody 4x4 with stock suspension. I'm wondering what backspacing I would need to get it on 31x10.5 with 15x8 or 15x7.5 rims?

31x10.50-15 fits on the stock alloy wheels with stock suspension, no modification!

A discerning alingment shop could, at your request and if they allow it, crank the torsion bars to give the front end a little more room but honsestly I've seen dozens of the stock 4x4 hardbody trucks with (for example) the ugly 3 spoke nissan alloys and 31x10.50-15.

I was under the impression that you needed at least 7" wide rims to fit 10.5s mine are only 6". Have I been mislead? There won't be any rubbing when you turn if you don't increase backspacing?

Yes you'll need the cool tri spoke alloys. I'll bet that was an upgrade package. You'd be the best judge of whether or not it'll rub. Find some wheels you like and have a good shop test fit one.. to be sure.
